The new 2020 Jersey Features Adidas's iconic EQT three-stripe design and debuted in the 1990s, the era of the major league. Now, the retro EQT three stripes are back in use on 26 teams'new season kits. Each club's unique elements are incorporated into the design of the new jerseys. For example, two new clubs joined this year: Miami International's jerseys are embossed with heron elements, while Nashville's jerseys display bright colors to highlight the "city of music" rhythm. While each club has a custom element to their personality, they are united by the ICONIC ADIDAS EQT three-stripe design, which bears the unique imprint of the 25th season of the major league.
Adidas has also teamed up with MLS to unveil the name and number font of the 2020 MLS official Jersey. This is a dynamic, vibrant, crisp graphic font that introduces a layered three-line effect. The typeface was designed by the big leagues in collaboration with Banks, the head designer and typesetter of Face37, an award-winning graphic design studio in Manchester, England.
